This is not useless knowledge Skippy,,this is the way it is,,always has been, always will be. One I didn't see is,,when you stop off at a friends house for a visit and it's time to leave,,you always say "come on, go with us" the US is used in singular and plural. For you northerners,,this doesn't really mean that everyone in the house gets up and leaves with the guest.
