We have the great family car shuffle every night just to get everyone lined up in order depending on who has to leave first in the morning, haha.
With the van burning oil and rusting apart at the bottom, my dad (the owner) was just looking to donate it somewhere as "it owes him nothing." (Costing ~$63 a month to own haha) It has been a VERY reliable vehicle and cheap to maintain and I am gonna miss the damn thing. It's been a staple with me with friends.
Good news is though that the possible buyer who is my neighbor's buddy needs a car pretty bad. He's over there all the time so i'd still get to see the van, haha...just not in as good of condition as i've taken care of it probably. If i had my own house i'd definitely try to keep it if funds were there. I agree about having two vehicles though. One as a DD and one as a possible toy. Hope someday i'll find a nice van when the conditions are right, you know. There's just no comparison with cargo room between the envoy and safari, and they're practically the same sizes length, width, and height.
You got that right. The guy I sold my Dakota to bought it for his 16 yr old son, and lives around the corner from me. Its NEVER clean! I don't think he even knows what Armorall is! Why did I bother putting 17" Durango RT wheels on it! #-o

This is why I never sell vehicles to neighbors. I would probably cry seeing my baby mistreated on a regular basis.

True. I guess I'm "more at peace" knowing it'll atleast be appreciated though instead of selling it to somebody for their UNapreciative kid to use.

For your new Envoy, do "double check" its recall / fix history. This can be done my providing the vehicle's VIN number to your nearest GM dealer's Auto shop. Using computer, they can search your Envoy's history and determine what known recalls were already fixed.
To validate what recalls should have been done, search for words "Envoy" within:
I'll definitely ask the dealer next time i'm there. Since this it is a certified used vehicle, i'd hope the history was checked. And thanks for the link to the recall website. I was able to check it out and didn't find anything there pertaining to my year. Thanks again!

No problem (for the recall info). If wondering, my one buddy has an Envoy XL. He bought it "used" (or is that pre-owned LOL!!) as well. For him, he uses his 4x4/AWD Envoy XL with I6 engine for winter snow/ice travels, pulling his utility trailer and for "long haul" family trips. He loves his Envoy XL. Glad he bought his. And, he's never had a problem with his Envoy - since the last 2.5 years he's owned it.
