Being ripped off from a employer

Post by reaper »

Just when I Think life is going pretty good
my employer is not compensating me for hours worked.
In the beginning,no problems,a great place to work,small shop,keeping busy,great pay,
& im doing what I enjoy. It has been 1 month since I was compensated last.
Ive spent countless times driving out to the shop (closed),even went to his
house (no answer),phonecalls etc...no luck.So now I am in the process of
taking legal action, etc. So much of this is going on up here in BC & I guess
it's my turn now.Now I have to start again & look for other terms of
employment.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Thanks for reading my rant.

Man, that sucks !!!! Is it the economy? Here in central Florida small businesses are drying up by the hundreds. I hope you find something soon. \:D/

hate to hear things like this but am afraid we'll see more and more. Good luck on what comes around and it will,,always works out for the best.
I've got some issue going on myself concerning expenses for traveling the 140 miles each day to work and back. They owe me around 600 and another salesman close to $4,000 but we have our eyes on 6 new unused computers just in case the doors are closed. Oh yea,,,I 've got a key. :yawinkle:

Well at least you have a boss to bitch about. I got laid off in January and now with over 60 applications filed I have not gotten the first call for an interview. I guest it is what I expected at my age. I go to places I have submitted an application to and they have hired new people , but they are all female and not American citizens. I hope things change but it is not looking like it is going to be anytime soon.

I was compensated bi weekly,That's exactly what happened,he kept putting it off.
He did not take a leave of absence.I have been talking with several people
& BC labour etc,so with luck something will come about. What a PITA.
Thanks to you all for replying,it makes things a tad easier for me.

sorry to hear about this, it has become common I'm sorry to say. We were just told yesterday mandatory 10 hour days and 4 hours on Saturday with no additional pay. It really sucks for our family.
I too have sent a dozen or so applications out without a single interview. Times are tough, stay in prayer.
