My girl married me in the forest
No kidding. We got married on a deck by a waterfall. Our best friend performed the ceremony. It was perfect. Just 30 family members.
Sorry bout the phot sizes, can't seem to down size them, will try again tomorrow.
My bride and her father before walking down the Isle.
My buddy dropped off a 4x4 Bobcat "Rhino" so we could 4Wheel my Bride's 90 yr old Grandmother up the hill to the deck for the ceremony.
The venue is 10 minutes from our house. We used to do a lot of kayak racing there.
Then we honeymooned in Mexico for 2 weeks. It was perfect. And managed to NOT get the Swine Flu.
We've been home from the honeymoon for almost a week and we started paperwork on refinancing the house that we've already owned together for over 6 years. Tonite, after being together for 10 years and finally getting married, she turns to me and says, "You know, we're going to save so much money in the long run, and our mortgage payment is going to be drastically reduced. Maybe we should take some equity out of the house and use the money to finish the interior of the van the way you wanted to." It took all my man strength to hold back that one little tear in my eye.

Congrats T. Best of luck to you both. Beautiful area to have a wedding. It looks a lot like the Marymere Falls at the Crescent Lake area.

Re: My girl married me in the forest
Thanks guys. Jen woke up the morning after and said that it was so much fun she wanted to do it all over again, and wouldn't change a thing. It was perfect.
The lodge was just down the trail a bit. We had our favorite Italian restaurant cater, and my buddies funk band played later in the night as about 40 of our closest friends packed the place after dinner. My 8 and 12 year old nieces played a duet on the piano.
My mom and dad and nephew and nieces were here for a week from Michigan. My 70 year old mom really enjoyed driving everyone around in the van during the times I had to take my company truck somewhere. With the lift, she could still climb in and out of the front , but we had to get a "Mimi" step stool for here if she was ridding in one of the back seats.
Every time i go to Mexico I'm always suprised by how many Astro vans there are down there. Its the perfect vehicle for those tight streets in the small towns. I really had to restrain myself from taking pics of them all. We rented a compact car and explored all the small towns up and down the coast in a 4 hour range north and south of Puerto Vallarta. The whole time we were both wishing we were driving the van.
Oh, and I loved the "Spy Photo" comment, Crasher. =D> If you look at the waterfall picture and skroll to the right you'll see us up there on the deck together after the ceremony. Hmm, come to think of it, thats a Spy Photo, too.

Re: My girl married me in the forest
Where I live is basically little Mexico, these vans don't last long on the dealer lots around here.

Re: My girl married me in the forest
Down there, most of them look more like Grumpy than Green. I realize now that "Mexico" is actually Spanish for "dented sheetmetal".
