Car Show Coverage! - May 17th, 2009

Post by mdmead »

My daughter and I drove out around noon time and took a look around at a local car show held in Moxee, WA. Some dumbsh!t didn't think about how much room he had on his memory stick and had to delete some pics (of his daughter's last soccer game) to get all of these. (I did remember to charge the battery before heading out though!)

There were some real nice rides and I only took pics of the ones that interested me the most.

Image

Several Camaros... of course.

Fuzzy pics courtesy of my daughter. :)

This made coming to the show worthwhile right here!
Image

I have a soft sport for Austin Healeys since my dad used to own one and it was always a special time when he would take me for a ride in it. (His was a heap compared to this one!)
Image

Image

A little scale model to match the big Healey.
Image

This is as close to riding in one as my daughter Ryan is going to get! (Maybe I can give her fond memories of riding around in her dad's baja bug one day instead... Just have to find the right bug...)

I wasn't a huge fan of this color, but the overall truck was amazing. And it sounded sweet too!
Image

I've always been a fan the mid 50s Ford F-100s, but I'm thinking the mid 50s Chevys ain't too shabby either!
Image

Speaking of the Fords...
Image

The grill on this one was hideous, and the wheels weren't very inspiring, but the paint was impressive!

Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty....

Different.

Image

Not a big fan of the early T-birds, but I took this for my dad.
Image

Gotta love a Nomad!
Image

There were actually two Javelins at the show.
Image

Image

Ryan wanted this one. I told her no because it didn't have a seat in it. (Like that was the only reason!...)

I have a thing for wagons...

If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're here illegally, they want to give you one :)

Nice pics Matt, its appreciated that you took the time to upoad them all :supz: looks like they had a good selection of cars for viewing. Was that the same place as the VW show last year? I can't wait till the shows start up around here I've already seen a few on the road so the shows can't be more than a few weeks away.Reb's right, you're daughter will remember the good times with her Dad at the shows, mine still talk about the different shows we have seen together.

Well, using Photobucket has made my life easier for this kind of stuff, and the fact I share these pics with a local Yakima auto forum too, means the effort feels worthwhile.

Yes, this is the same park the VW event was held at. Nice place offering up some shade on the hot days!

I hope you guys are right about Ryan's fond memories. I still have a memory of when my dad took me to an indoor show when I was a kid and seeing the Pink Panther and other far out customs of the day.
