Hi Everyone!
I have been looking at inflatable boats and have come across the SeaHawk series ... looking at the SeaHawk 400. Does anyone have experience with this boat or recommend others?
I am looking for something that can carry at least 2 people w/ dog and gear for some paddling and camping adventures

I don't know much about the inflatables but do know they wouldn't hold up in our creeks and rivers down south. To many rocks,logs and just about anything else you could imagine.
Here's one I'm looking at now. Am waiting on a reply to a question I have about dry storage. I need just enough space to keep a few items dry.
Oh looks nice! You must be doing some very dangerous rafting ... here in BC we got tons of fast rivers with loads of rocks and we use inflatable boats :p Dry storage is a problem I have finding in the rafts as well. I want to be able to put my camera in there :(

I wouldn't have thought the inflatble would hold up but that just goes to show ya how much I don't know.
No dangerous rafting down here,,just slowly down the creek or river taking it easy.
I'm like you,,,just a small area that keeps things dry like camera, ammo, matches, things like that. Not worried about the tent,,think I'll just strap it on the back and be done with it.

I've got a Seahawk that I use to float down the Bow River here in Calgary - Don't know the model # - might be a 300 or 400 it's a large unit easily fits 4 - my dog, wife, I + cooler - it's about 10 years old now. It's a fine medium duty boat - deals with my dog and he's 90lbs - but I would not want to run it over much in the way of rocks - it's not like a Zodiac or others with the Kevlar bottoms. A light touch - or slight scrap and it'll be fine, with white water I am afraid you will be sinking before you know it.
