Finally got an Astro
Finally got an Astro
Hey all, I joined this site several months ago to get more info and an education before I took the plunge. Happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a 2004 Astro AWD. I look forward to sharing my future outings and my future frustrations with you. Anytime you want to visit Sedona your welcome.. Just bring your tools!

Re: Finally got an Astro
Sedona??!! Aw man, I'd love to go back there! That is some beautiful county out there. Tell me something, I went out there in 1992, before I had even heard of the place. My dad, who lived in Phoenix, called it a "local secret" some of the most beautiful country, that no one else knew existed.. Well, a couple years later and everywhere I go it seems people are talking about the place.. has it "grown up and out"? or is it the same old quaint place I remember?
Anyways..Glad you found us, there's a great bunch of folks on here.. I've honestly not found a more friendlier, helpful forum yet. Everyone's family here and will treat you likewise. Welcome!

Oh Chris, you've done it now. 1st it starts with big tires and a lift, then you'll just hafta have more power. You've come to the right place. Welcome.

Re: Finally got an Astro
Thanks for all of the welcomes. I plan on getting some pictures on soon. It came with a, I assume custom, push bar style bumper that looks a bit over kill. So I suppose I will have to go with a lift and some bigger tires just to make the bumper look better. Right now it looks like a family van with a train front end. I guess the deer and elk are shacking in their hooves when they see me coming.
Astronut- Sedona is mostly state park land so we havent had the sprawl and the locals are holding on to keep it a small town. It is not a secret anymore so the tourist season almost doubles the population.
