Pacific Storm?
Pacific Storm?
How you all holding up? The news is not crackling with details about the storm but I noticed a few of our hospitals are running off their generators. I hear Cali is getting some 80mph winds!?
Hope you are all well.

I must have missed that one Abe. Except for a little rain today it's been beautiful outside. Mid-teens and sunny every day. T-shirt weather.

I was talking to my friend in San Fran and he went offline (Skype). They had high winds; texted back saying they are fine but getting windy. My other friend in Oregon was out for a "normal" weather run and came back all soaked ... MSN'd me cursing about the weather and then he noticed it was getting louder outside.

Re: Pacific Storm?
The storm came and then it went. It was a nice rainstorm and a little bit of high winds at times but all for the good. Here in Calif. we need the rain bad. We got a little over an inch of rain here in Ventura, CA and that is nowhere enough to get us out of a drought we have been in for several years now. No mud slides that I have heard of from the fire areas which is what everyone was worried about so it was a good thing after all. Come on rain a little more as this storm is now gone.

Re: Pacific Storm?
someone want our snow? cause I would like to see it gone - driving to work in the morning has been time consuming - most people have still got the summer tires on (me included) - however it wasn't nasty enough for me to have to pull out the Astro to drive to work - the car still had enough traction - beside AWD doesn't really help you stop any faster! Oh well - it'll be +20C by the weekend - crazy Calgary Weather!

Re: Pacific Storm?
that kind of wind and rain in California is a disaster...breeds massive mud slides. 80mph here is bad thunderstorm and for our brethren in Florida it's referred to as " a might breezy"

To thevalleyboy, you can keep that white stuff, thank you any way. Lived for a short while where that stuff falls and didn't like it so came home. A little rain is nice and we certainly need it. Luckily no bad happened, at least around here and I only heard of one small mudslide up the canyon that blocked the road for a couple hours so we came through ok. All the bad thoughts about slides, at least from this storm, didn't happen. Since Kalifornia tries to burn down every year there is nothing left to hold the earth in place in those areas so I would say Kalifornia was lucky, this time. Hopefully the next also. Even though this is home after living where snow and worse happened it is funny to hear about a "storm watch" like they have here. Never heard that in the other state.

Re: Pacific Storm?
Us Vancouverites are very fond of rain ... but still so many do not know how to drive in the rain. So many vehicle accidents this morning :(

You think that they don't know how to drive in the rain up there you should see it down here in Kalifornia. Some of these people can't drive when it is dry, wet no way.

Heh Well I have been accident free for a few months and I hoping it stays that way. I am getting to old for all this bumping around.
