anti lock dummy light - how to clear it?

Post by gofalls »

I had the anti lock light on so I checked the code here

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2936&p=30100&hilit= ... ght#p30100

Code came up 32 or RIGHT REAR SENSOR.

Replaced it and now I am unable to clear the code useing the method at the link or by unconnecting the battery. Do I still have a problem with my ABS or do I need a special tool to clear the code?

most of the time the sensor is just dirty and this will set it off, hope it wasnt expensive because it might not have needed replacing. try hosing off the wheels brakes etc. see if that helps, the code is stored in your computer too now so its not uncommon for it to stay on for a while til it recognizes the fix.

I picked the sensor up at the salvage yard for $5 while I was getting a new exhaust pipe for $25. Gotta love those salvage yards. I will put some miles on it tomorrow to see if it recognizes the fix.
