2005 with 2 speed tc ,4" lift
New project ,2 speed transfer case from a 2000 s-10 into a my brother's 2005 awd Astro, I also plan to use the front differential from the s-10. I spoke to a mechanic about this,he listed some different issues ,our parting words of confidence from him were "let me know how it turns out" I may have an issue with the connection between the 4WD mod and the PCM the astro for 4wd low.

This could be and easy swap. There is a NP 231c T-case that was used in 1995 S10 blazers with a 5 speed trans (IIRC) that was a direct bolt in in place of the NV136 that is in your van. The drivshafts even fit with no mods. It is possble that the 2000 S10 used the same case, I don't know.

The front dif should work also, my 1991 Astro had a front axle from a 1991 S10 Blazer, and a cable from Posi-lock to pull it in.1996astro wrote:Success! I wired a terminal in the number 23 cavity of connector 4 (Black). When switched to ground the PCM compensates for 4LO. The programming is not needed. It now has so much torque without the front driveshaft when power braking the rear wheels contact the wheel wells.

Thanks for the info ,I knew that I was not doing anything new,I got to finish stripping the 2000 s-10 and get it out of there. I will be using the engine from the truck too, something real bad happened in the astro engine. I look forward to getting the van started. I think the astro are easier to work on,as for room, compared to the s-10,at least you don't have to root oil lines to the filter.

It looks like it shat out out a bunch of bolts, and vomited up some wires hehehe.
Cool graphics though.
