Balloon event in NY

Post by Smiliesafari »

We got back home Friday evening. Had a great time as usual. We got a chance to meet Gary (1Gary) and Bill (Snapple) and his family. Gary couldn't stay long but it was good to meet him. Bill has a great family. They remind me of years past with my own. I also have two boys and a girl. Here's some pics of the event. http://www.meetup.com/naturephotography/photos/938565/

Wow,some really great pics Skip! It was great meeting you folks! Very nice of you and Cherie to stop by the campsite. The kids really liked the Smilie buttons. Couldn't help but notice ,out of all them pics that there was very few of you guys. So I decided to ad this link for our ASV family. Hope you don't mind, just have to chalk it up to the price of being famous!

I was really great to meet with Skip and Cherie.Skip and I had sometime together for me to ask questions about balloon flying.Man there is a lot to be able to do that.Somethings like where the bridges are in the park for chase vehicles is something I would have never thought of.How the balloons are blow up with a huge fan driven by a briggs engine he had.I thought was real neat.I never got to see him fly because of weather conditions, but that was ok,because we got to spend more time together.

Yepper,Bill sorry I missed you.Maybe next yr.

Skip/Cherie-thanks for a good time.I really enjoyed myself.

I know I'm late to the party on commenting, but I was getting ready to head out of town when it was posted and I knew I was going to need some time to look through all the pics, so I decided to wait.

Wow! Some spectacular shots. I didn't realize you guys dropped way down into the canyon. Very cool.

(And I loved the lighthouse pics too! Afraid we won't see any on our summer trip we are planning to the Grand Canyon...)
