slammed and tucked
I need some assistance. I have a 96 astro and I want to lower it as low as I can without having to do body and frame work. How low would that be and how do I do it? I don't know anything about vehicles so obviously i won't be doing any of the work myself. Also I would like to put 20s on it and have them tucked under the wheel wells. Is this possible? Help please.............

You can get 2" drop spindles for the front and lowering coils to go even further and a flip kit for the rear maybe even some blocks afterwards to go lower all depends on how low you want to go? What size tire you will be running? There are alot of things to consider when lowering a vehicle.

Re: slammed and tucked
flip kit in the rear set up for a 3" drop is the lowest you want to go if you don't want to c notch. i've got 3 inches in the back and i've bottomed out a couple times and it's not fun.
the front the lowest you'll want to go is 2 inches or even a very maximum of 3. drop spindle or a combo of spindle and spring. don't forget to get shorter shocks for both front and back.
both of those heights will keep you relatively safe in terms of not having to do additional work.
20's aren't a problem. with the 2/3 drop you won't get much of a "tucked" look though. it'll sit right on top of the tire. you'll have to run a 35 or 40 series tire pending wheel width and different tire manufacturer specs. tucking requires you go lower.
if you want the best of both worlds.....look into air ride. low when you want it and up high when you need. it. cheers.

Re: slammed and tucked
thanks for the help. is a cnotch something you order and weld to the frame or cut the frame and then weld it in? I really want it tucked but bags or air suspension is just way out of my league.
