An equally moronic idea, was inducing IVT transmissions (which don't shift in the traditional sense) to "kick", to give people the "sensation" that there's shifting going on. ](*,)

awesome, even most non-hybrid compact cars these days make no noise and its weird to me. not so much that i am unaware of them if they are around me but more cause on the rare occasion i am in or driving one i can never tell if it started or not after turning the key. and at intersections it feels like the car has died as it makes no noise nor does it vibrate. i have too bad of knees to ever consider buying a car and i hate getting in and out of them but living in the mountains everyone i know owns a Subaru so its unavoidable sometimes.
