What is the best Intake Gaskets that I can buy for a 1998?
Does anyone know the part number for the best Intake Gaskets that I can buy for a 1998 Safari. Its actually a 2003 motor with the 1998 Intake but I dont think that makes a difference does it? I bought a set of Felpro gaskets and want to make sure I have the best ones because I only want to do this once if possible. Thanks, Matt

I think you're good with Felpro. I've used them in various applications for more than 30 years. I don't recall ever having a failure.

These are the gaskets that I have on the van right now and had a problem with. The ones I just bought are the exact same and I do not want to use them. I will get the part number shortly. They are black plastic with the orange seal. I would have used the metal ones if I knew there were others out there. Any Input?

Ah yes, that looks very familiar to a lot of us. The gaskets I used were gray with the orange seals. I can't remember the brand. It may have been Victor. Other than the water the inside of the motor looks good.

I should probably do the intake gasket this coming summer before it decides to go sometime in the middle of the winter during a snow storm with freezing cold temperatures.
