Lifted-New Haven is heading towards -20's

News broadcast tonight said Watertown this wkend is heading towards the -20's.Brrrrrrrr.Dean-suggest you plug in the truck if you have that.Does my best bud ever Cole have a jacket??.He is getting on in yrs kind of like me.

Glad we live an hour from Watertown...too damn cold up there. It's only supposed to get just below 0 here. Oh and lake effect snow too...6 to 12 inches with up to 2 feet in persistent bands. An no Cole does not have a coat. He's not a pansy little poodle.

Did I mention Ben is running in 2 5k snowshoe races this weekend? He's the one who's going to need a coat.

why would anyone do that to themselves? good luck to Ben, but i never understood the joy of running especially not in the cold, its gotta be terrible for you body in those conditions.

It's not that bad. He's 14 so his body can take it. He is in awesome shape! We go out and walk on snowshoes when he runs and get good exercise. We travel all over New York state during the winter months going to races. Ben couldn't wait to start snowshoeing when he was still running Cross Country with the high school team this fall.

Tell Ben I wish him luck on his races.Maybe in the future there is some scholarship money for college.That would be cool.
