RC van response awsome van

Post by chevymaher »

The Rc van is awsome.Think a U tube visit is in order so we can see it in action.I am not going back to that thread to answer because.I went there and all the pictures downloading hung up my 2 gig ram computer.I shut off site and it was still slow.Had to clean out the temp folders and the prefetch to get it to run right again.I thought it was a coincidence. But I went back 2 more times and it happened again.

It bogs my computer too. Perhaps an offsite link would be better.

Hmm, maybe that is what slowed my computer last night too... I did notice I couldn't get some of the last pics to load.

Regardless, such a cool 'toy'!

I'm glad I am not the only one who had troubles with all the pics, I don't have the fastest connection at home but my comp is fast enough and has more than enough ram to handle most things...lol, guess I was wrong!

We have one of the fastest connections at work and it still took 30 sec to load, I think this is the very 1st pic post that needs to have a "Broadband Beware" label attached :D

But on a serious note, we are going to have to come up with a way to break up the thread into more manageble bite sizes, that way folks can spend more time looking than waiting for pics to load.

Yeah, it keeps Killing my computers too! I keep having to go back to read comments. I think perhaps I should scale it back and then put a link to a to a folder on photobucket for the rest. Maybe scale it back to 20 or so images instead of 500. I was surprised at the speed. I figured since I had the stuff on photobucket it wouldn't be an issue. I won't be able to tackle that task for a few hours yet, so please be patient. I will get 'er done as soon as I get home from work. Thanks!

With a different internet connection, I had no problem today. And wow, more pics! This is just too freakin' awesome!

OK, I can no longer edit my previous thread so I'm starting a new one. It will have slideshow of about 100 photos each in the post. There will be thumbnails for each slide show. You click it and it will take you to photobucket and display the photos. You will be able to stop, progress and reverse, etc. This will take the burden off this site and hopefully your internet connection!

It will be like this:

I hope that works for everyone. I think the pix might be smaller though, sorry. This is going to take me hours, so hang in there. I'm open to suggestions.
