I worked at one location where no less than THREE co-workers contrived a WHOPPER of a tale wherein I supposedly used sexually-oriented epithets. Company investigators concluded that it was a he-said/she-said and sided with the three rather than me.

I'm currently working on a request for redetermination, but there is a 10 week (!) backlog at the state level. That doesn't help me here and now. I've even applied at BK and am turning in a application for dishwasher!

UPDATE:

I had a long talk with the pastor; I now have an appointment or two with a counselor. This may not be the end of it, but its a step in the right direction.

When you wake up and your only thoughts are of what to give away to whom and how to say farewell to friends and family, you know you need help and quickly. The last time this happened, I spent three days locked up in the Psych ward. Don't think I got anything out of the visit, because the shrink talked to me only once, and that was when I was admitted.

I got a phone call Friday evening informing me of an open house at our local cable TV company. The call was to inform me of an open house on Saturday between 1000 and 1400. I spent all four hours there. Turned out that it was a prescreening event for a position to which I had applied. They administered a self-evaluation, a typing test and a test of technical knowledge. I missed one on the technical test; my typing was pitiful because they had a square, flat keyboard and I'm used to a Microsoft Natural keyboard, although I still passed. Hopefully, they'll let me know by the end of the week if I have a second interview coming. Following that, there'll be four weeks of training beginning 9 May. Pay's $12.00/hr and free cable TV and Internet and reduced phone charges.
