Pass. Power window problem.

Post by Fede »

Hi guys, my pass window doesn't want to go down. The master switch is fine. I checked the wiring in the boot in the door jamb, and all the wires were intact. I took off the door trim and i could here the motor engage when i pressed up, but nothing when i press down. Could it be the motor? or maybe is the wire for down is broken?(does anyone know the color?) If anyone can help me out with this id really appriciate it! :)

Thanks in advance!

I recently had a similar issue.

in the end i pulled the door trim and jammed the ends of my volt meter electrodes beside the two female terminals of the connector that goes onto the motor itself. with the volt meter sat so that i could see the read-out, i went and operated the switch at the drivers side, this way i could see that the motor was getting power for both for UP and DOWN directions...since it was getting power for both, i determined that the motor was at fault.

changed the motor, all is well.
