Incredible R/C Trucks

Post by mdmead »

I've watched a few of this guy's videos. His trucks are made of wood and the detailing is phenomenal. His filming though is what makes these special.

Love that A-100!

That's amazing! It's hard to believe they're made from wood. They look so realistic! I wonder what kind of motors he puts in them.

In a crawler like that usually a 540 size 45-55 turn motor. The bodies are normally plastic to put up with the abuse. He might have used bulsa wood for the bed floor in the pick up.

Those are pretty awesome! Makes me want to finish my scale strofari van. My video would have an overwhelming diesel noise in it though. :muhaha:

I haven't quite figured out how this guy does them out of wood. I do know I've never seen any of these bodies available in plastic. I frequent a 4x4 model forum and here is what was posted:

"My friend Rick built this 1967 Fargo (Canadian Dodge) 4x4 completely out of wood. It's really fantastic. I'm sure some of you have seen videos of it on YouTube. He's also built an A-100 Dodge 4x4. He is also finishing up on this 1957 Ford PU 4x4."

Matty, those little rigs are awesome, thanks for sharing that with us. What a riot to watch them wheel around.
