Welcome to the forum.
Is this a recent problem? Have you done anything which might have caused it?

Re: fuel smell
it was new...but i think i solved it , it would appear that the pressure feed line has a tiny hole in it. i had no fuel on the ground but now i can see that is a very very tiny hole its misting up onto the floor dripping onto the rear dif cover and appears to be evaporating before it can hit the ground. so now i need to come up with some new fuel lines any ideas it appears that the pressure line comes out of the tank and is steel for a short distance then is a rubber hose and back to steel to the fuel filter

Re: fuel smell
You'll want to replace the line but an easy temporary fix is a small hose clamp over a patch of rubber. a piece of rubber fuel line would be the easiest. 1/2 to 3/4" in length, cut long ways and slip over the metal line, open the clamp to get over the line and you done. It will last as long as the rest of the line.

Re: fuel smell
If you splice a rubber hose,it has to be fuel injection hose rated for high pressure.

Re: fuel smell
i dont need the van right away ive got a 98 astro that i use daily.. ive discovered that there called fuel tank sending unit extensions, i actually found a kit on online that has a kit for full size trucks with all the metal lines too i think i may order that and rebend the lines to fit
