Fluid for my 20 gal parts washer

Post by 1Gary »

I have to get my 20 gallon parts washer going and get the fluid for it.The shop isn't heated all the time and I am concerned with the water mixed type fluids that it would freeze and ruin the pump.Suggestions please.

which water based solvent?

the container should have an MSDS sheet that gives the freezing melting point. or you will see a number similar to CAS# 8052-41-3, if you can find the CAS# I can give you the freezing point, I keep my 20 litre pails outside in an unheated shed for fire safety reasons and none have ever frozen. Most solvents have very low freezing points, we will all be dead long before......
