The balloon on my left has an envelop volumn of 425,000 cu.ft. The balloon on my right has an envelop volumn of 315,000 cu.ft. My little "Smilie" has an envelop volumn of 32,000 cu.ft. I could fly my balloon inside of the 425.

I can see your Safari. So how do you steer a balloon?

I stood next to Skip on a pre-flight briefing on a day he couldn't fly because of wind and the depth of info and coverage of landing zones was just amazing. They had a huge weather station van on site.To me it didn't seem windy, but Skip pointed out the way the tree tops where moving and then it made sense. These guys are pilots x5.

Steering is done using wind currents. At different altitudes winds can change directions. Here in central Florida we have a dozen different launch sites. We pick a launch site according to wind direction so that we get blown into an area that has good landing sites.

Just kidding, matty, you know I  ya , and am happy as hell for ya.

Skip, that is too cool, as always. Peaceful and ultra thrilling all at the same time.

TLessB, i saw the van too at the 1:30 mark; just the passenger side rear.
