turn signal not cancelling

94 safari 8 seater

My right turn signal does not automatically cancel after a right turn.

Anyone know what usually breaks?
Is it a spring or the whole switch?

Is it hard to get to them? do I need a steering wheel puller?

I believe that there is a cam that cancels the turn signal.
