Power locks sticking - especially when it's cold!

My power locks have worked quite well in the past, but now that it's cold they're sticking. I have to hit the button several times to get them fully locked or unlocked. Seems like it probably has to do with some old lubricant getting dirty and thick.

Has anyone broken down the door locks for as thorough an inspection/cleaning/repair as described in this thread:

I don't think my lock motors are bad, but I'd probably try to clean them, too, if I went to all the trouble of taking the doors apart. I actually need to repair the driver's door panel with some epoxy anyway.

The rear door lock on my 2005 sticks sometimes. I did pull it apart somewhat and sprayed some lube. May need a good cleaning and lube in the summer.
