I sure wish people would get their collective acts together. I just got off the phone with a local mobility specialist and they inform me that THEY have the contract here locally, not some 400 miles away at the other end of the state! They also tell me that they have an external lift/carrier that will require only the installation of a Class III/IV receiver hitch.

Gotta love bureaucrats!

A good friend of mine has a scooter lift on the rear of his Honda element that swings out o the way for loading the truck. If you want I could send you some pics. It loads down the back of his element but on a van it wouldn't make much difference. A airlift bag set up like mine would easy handle the weight if you get sag or drag the lift on deiveways.

The local store has informed me that they'll order the swing-away feature if awarded the contract (which I'm confident they will).
