I'm back, too.

Post by BillHarris »

Member since '06, joined about the time that the Old AstroSafari forum was on the decline and this New AstroSafari.com was budding. Never really developed much of a a post count here. Developed a bad ticker, retired and went a couple of lean years adapting to "graduation from work". The AstroSafari was a real trooper, though-- it got me through those times without a lot of headaches, and limped beyond 200K. And she's getting some long-overdue deferred maintenance done.

Anyways, it's nice seeing y'all around, still, and I recognize a lot of you. :partyman:

Wow!

Looks like a revival of new old timers. LOL

Glad you 'graduated from work' OK, Bill. I hope to do the same in a couple of years,

Thanks for stopping bye and saying hello Bill, anything special planned for the van or are you just trying to extend its life?

Nah, just keepin' her running. I like the idea of the AstroSafari and I can't think of any other "car" I'd like to buy. Tis a shame they GM quit making that model. I may but a same-year rolling chassis as a "parts car", I do need to start thinking of an engine transplant (compression is 120-120-...-100-90 with 200+K miles). I toy with the idea of buying a used pickemup truck for hauling, but the Astro with a hitch would be as good and "cheaper".
