New member here - Skip Morgart

Post by SkipMorgart »

Hello all! I've been reading the different areas on here for a couple weeks. I don't have my Astro yet, but I've been researching and looking for a few months now. I had been flipping between RD and AWD, but now think AWD is the way to go for my needs, even though the last 4 I've taken to my mechanic (inspection before buying) all had AWD problems, so I passed on them...BUT I'm still looking and hopeful. LOTS of great info on here.

Welcome!

If you live somewhere that has slick roads, the AWD can't be beat!

Yes, the roads do get slick here in NE Ohio, and the AWD is what I strongly prefer getting. I have found another nice one, but it's quite a distance from me, but it "might" be the one. I have 3 guys coming to my house this weekend that have been bidding on a pickup truck that I'm selling, and that will have an impact on when and how much I will want to spend on the Astro. I hate getting rid of the truck- it's been all over the US and Canada...'86 Chevy with 260,000 miles. I am the original owner, and there are a lot of good memories with that truck....but I think it's time to (reluctantly) let 'er go.
