I went out and looked to see if I had the measurements but I did not find them. I also tried to measure it but the plow frame is in the way.

98 should be the same measurements as mine. I don't believe they made any major changes to the subframe (someone will reply if GM did make changes) as the bumpers and hardware did change.

You will at minimum will have to a custom bracket from the new bumper to the subframe. I am doing a 4" lift in the front so mine will be in a different spot that what yours will be. I might have to cut a chunk the bumper out in the middle to match the wheel base. That will involve some type of rechromeing on the top portion of the bumper. The bottom will be painted the same color as the body. Go on Bob's bumpers and take a look at what he's got. (816)-217-3650. He may be out of business as I can't find his webpage. I bought a 2003 k1500 chrome rear bumper and 2005 k2500 front (new-pulls) from him for $450.00.

so i'm doiong an oil change now and i took some measurements there apperantly is a difference my post to post inside diameter is 37" from the diagram they sent me this might be easier they i though...
