Hey guys, did you mention that there is a rod on top also? I might have misread the posts but if not the door still won't open without pulling down on that one also.

Thanks guys, haven't got out the cutter yet
I left it alone last night cause I was trying to get in to get my tools to fix my broken hot water heater, gggrrr, when it rain....! ](*,) Got it fixed though so we have hot water now, wifey wasn't happy with cold showers though she wished I had been taken them
anyway, prbalby try ot work on it today, it has been feeling like it would hang up right before it popped the latch, I lubed it a few weeks ago, guess something finally broke/bent. If I tear up the back panel, just gives me a good excuse to make a nicer custom one. I 'll keep ya updated, maybe some good carnage pics!

Just for kicks, I tried it last night,...opened perfectly first time and over & over...Stupid van! ](*,) That fullsize truck is really looking tempting right now!
Guess I will be getting some fishing line just in case and set me up an emergency escape!

Since you can get it open now, maybe you should remove the inside cover and check to see what might have caused it to not open.

My back door wouldn't open for a while and it wasn't as bad as the rod like the front door... in this case the screw was just loose on the actuator and I didn't even have to take anything apart... give anything you can reach a re-tighten. I went months without rear doors for no good reason.
