Don't waste your time with those yanks, Cobra. They'll never learn....

My buddy in Saskatchewan was telling me how a coupla yanks from North Dakota came thru the US/Canada border in July a couple years back. They had skis strapped to the top of their car. Canada Customs agent asks 'em where they're going, they said "skiing". Customs guy says "Yeah, but it's freakin' July". The good ole boyz from Dakota figured that as soon as they crossed over to Canada, they'd see igloos and craploads of snow.

Thank god fer the yanks, who else could we get this many chuckles from? :muhaha: :yawinkle:

Did somebody say "hockey"? Way to go Wings, Wohoo! :drinkers: (Man, I'm gonna stay drunk all summer at this rate) Wohoo! :partyman:

And as far as the skiers go, thats because us yanks knew that, at the old exchange rate, the Canadian calender year was a couple months shorter than ours and so obviously that meant you didn't really get a summer at all. Chances are very good that we could still go to Canada for skiing in July, eh? (What with the True North Strong and Free and all that, ya know). But of course the new exchange rate brings new challenges, like an equal calender year and you guys get a bit of a summer too, so yeah, shame on them yanks for not keeping up with current events. :usa: :canuk:

I've got an unfair advantage with this Canadian knowledge thing, thouhg, because I took international economics all three years of grade 11 in high school.

Yes we do ... got up to 23C yesterday but it is like autumn right now at 18C :( Just an FYI - we wear t-shirts and shorts once it hits 13C = 55.4 degrees Fahrenheit

Ah man ... I posted just a few minutes too late. Yes sir ... go Wings. Actually you know what? When you come back up here I am gonna make you pinky swear for EACH time you say Wings or anything along that line $5 goes into my "More Power Bug" jar :) :) :)

We do get all seasons of weather here and yes summer is quite short - feels like it was last week and that was it haha. Hopefully more to come.

That was hilarious. Thanks for explaining the situation to me. I now feel ignorant for not having thought of this viable possibility... 8-[

This has gone from Peter getting, (most likely), ripped-off, to being funnier than a popcorn fart in a movie theater....
