I think Bill is up there today to get the snow plow set up from dean for the SPB , but i could be wrong .......i doubt it but , i've been wrong once or twice before .....look at the date stamp on that pic. it was taken today......so either lockdoc was over for a visit or the SPB is his again.
Also it appears the license plate is lacking......hmmmmmm

Re: Did I miss the post re Lifteds new Signature?
ding, ding, ding...we have a winner! Yup Bill and his oldest son Billy were up here this weekend. We put the original bumper, portable winch mount, hydraulics, snowplow and the rock rails back on the SPB! It was a cold, WET weekend but we got the work done. We ate well, picked up and setup our Christmas tree and spent a lot of time just talking. It was an awesome weekend!skippy wrote:I think Bill is up there today to get the snow plow set up from dean for the SPB
Now for the van riddle. I have agreed to buy another van. Skippy was right on that one as well! I am going to get dunedog's 1997 AWD hightop conversion van either this coming weekend or in the spring. It needs an engine (I have Peter's old 4.3) and then just to be driven! It will probably get an re-built tranny, painted subframe, 2" lift and some 235's before it goes on the road in the next year or two.

You sly dog! Well, you had stated in your sig that you were Astroless, but not fer long!
I'm looking forward to watching you morph this one, Deano. You might even convince Mmead to get his wife to start working on their van again as well. Anything's possible...

Matt, your van is going to be so sweet once its finnished, you should get a ticket for delaying all that joy from your fellow vanners!
How much to take the whole trailer full off your hands? I know a dude who loves my van and wants a cheap project. (Man, he's gonna drive over here and punch me in the nose )

Petey, why do you attack me like this?! What have I EVER done to you to warrent this?! I just can't imagine....
Sorry Tom, I've got too much invested emotionally (and financially) to even think about getting rid of the Blue Whale. My problem has been one of time management, but my focus will be to get it back on the road in '09. (It' might be December '09, but '09 nonetheless!)

Re: Did I miss the post re Lifteds new Signature?
I'll try to urge you on to git r done this winter so we can do some off roading and camping in the Astros next spring and summer! We'll invite the BC boys (girls too, Steph!) down to the eastern side of the mountains in Phrisks van and Tlesssbeing's van, and whoever else wants to go. So many places we can meet about halfway between us and 4 lo it to some great camp spots. Like Gallaher Head Lake outside of Roslyn. It will be awesome. =D>

Re: Did I miss the post re Lifteds new Signature?
Just want to update...due to the current financial recession and my poor spending habits, I will not be getting this van from Jim. Seems I messed up my tax deductions last year and need to pay Uncle Sam the money I was going to use to buy this van. ](*,) Add to that the cut back to just my normal work schedule (basically 40 hours) with no overtime, I simply can not afford to buy the van and then fix it up.
I will be back in an Astro or Safari at some point!
