To mount/unmount tires I have one of these in my garage. Usually $50, but I caught on sale for $40.

I use .20g airsoft pellets for dynamic wheel balancing. 215/75R15 tires = 3oz of pellets. 5000 pellets < $12 at Walmart, enough for over 8 stock size wheels. Weighed and bagged at Kinkos, scale worked in .05 lbs increments so the .1875 lbs (3oz/16oz) needed was rounded to .20 lbs.

To seat the bead I usually use the ether method.

How has this worked out for you?
The Bead Balancing that is.
Thanks, Jim

The bead balancing is great after you get it tuned in. I needed more beads in Grumpy's tires due to various plugs. IIRC, I have 9 ounces of beads in one tire due to it having several plugs and a patch.

Thanks Aaron
Are you running the same amount in Green?
Thanks Again, Jim

Green's tires I haven't had to mess with aside from rotations, thus they are still equipped with the wheel weights that were on them when I bought the van. BFG Long Trails seem to last forever.

So Aaron, when it's time to change my tires, just swing by your place with the new rubber, a container of airsoft pellets, and some brats & a grill? And maybe swing by LKQ if they got new stuff...

Cool with me, just give me notice so I don't have anything planned that day.

Back when I had my Chevy Beretta GT, I painted the whole car with the Dupli-color wheel paint. I used the HWP102 - Graphite. It looks pretty darn good
But yea. The paint works good for a variety of painting needs. Good stuff it is.
