Hi guys. I am more concerned about back pressure but want quiet and stealthy. I like the idea of double mufflers, but I have read that glass packs increase back pressure. Maybe two Magna Flows in tandem? Could be pricey? My ideal set up, cost be damned, would be Headers, high-performance Cat, Muffler, and resonator 2.5" diameter pipe all the way.
So, any other ideas to balance performance and sound?

Hi,
Stock muffler is the best. It is quiet and does not rust.
Dual exhaust and flow master is really not worth the hassle . It only gives 3 to 5 hp.

I know its apples to oranges but it'll get you an idea.
This exhaust I made for my wife's V8 Volvo that has a stock 5.0 Explorer engine.
Its a single 3" (too big IMO for a 4.3)
So at idle its very quiet, growls when you get on it but doesn't drone.
It has a Dynomax bullet and end in a Dynomax Super Turbo.
I am thinking of doing something similar 2.75" down to a 2.5? in my van someday. Smaller pipe will be quieter.
If you check my Youtube channel there is a couple videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXz6dcXddHA

A stock V6 does NOT have a nice rumble like a V8... it's more like an annoying drone!
If redneck is your thing.. then go for it.
You'll essentially gain nothing power-wise, but it will sound obnoxious coming from a stock V6.
Now if you're running dual exhaust from a set of headers on a V8... then I'd probably suggest a pair of Magnaflows!
Just my opinion.... cheers!
