I own a 1989 Astro RS and it has the same mirrors as yours. I like the older style mirrors too but they are all broken here in the local Salvage yards. I am in California USA.

Reply: Thanks for your positive words of encouragement,,, and there is NO WAY that I'd ever consider my cousins across the pond in such a degrading manner.
Hell, if I could, I'd be over there with you, not here in this overcrowded island sinking under a pile of European rules, immigrants and inept politicians !

Reply: When I bought my 88Astro it had been retro-fitted with the later mirrors, I searched around looking for a pair of the 1985 'stalk' type, Just when I found a fellow Englishman willing to sell me a pair, these slightly later type also turned up. I think these are probably the best type, so I've got the '85' ones as spares.
(remember many of our country roads aren't wide enough for two Astro's to pass each other, without some contact!!)

So why don't you move here? You could join us here in NEW England. Everyone wants to so just do it! On the plus side, you already kinda speak our language.

Will do, Captn. Van is 30 years old this year. Seems like just yesterday I first saw an Astro leaving the U.S. Air-force base at Alconbury UK,,, but it was actually 1985. Been besotted ever since !!!
