I have a 2002 Astro AWD, with 114000 miles.
The heater motor is giving me fits. Sometimes when fan speed switch is on high, the fan blows on high. Other times it runs on a medium speed. When I turn the fan speed selector to low, and gradually turn up, till it gets to high, it seems like it works, but I don't get the air speed out of the vents.
Anybody got an idea what I should look for, or start looking? Thinking it's the motor itself, but don't want to change unless I have to.

Re: Heater motor gremlins
It's usually the blower motor resistor. Change the motor, resistor and squirrel cage all at once. Easy job and not expensive. If the resistors going its usually the first sign the motors going. Tutorial vids on YouTube. Let us know how you make out
