LT1 intake manifold swap on 87-95 small block

Has anyone tried this swap? There are a few mods needed but with porting, they should be much better than the TPI setup I was thinking about. Good to at least 6000 rpm and 500+ HP.
There is a guy online that does the mods for a price ($400.00 I think, including the manifold).
Any ideas or comments?

I'd start looking at Mini Ram based combinations, the mini ram is very close to that intake. you'll also really want to run quite a bit of cam to maximise the potential of that intake. What are you thinking about for heads? The TPI works fine up to a point, but I think you're on the right path looking at the LT1 intake if you're planning on a very hot engine or some more cubic inches.

The miniram looks great, but is waaay out of my price range. I am trying to get the most bang for my buck. I am planning on good flowing aluminum heads, also so I can run a higher compression ratio. Have seen ones on ebay for around $600.00 U.S. (complete)but need to be careful and check things out. Plan on running a oem roller setup with between 0.5 and 0.55 inch lift.
LT1 manifold are cheap. Maybe $100.00 or less complete with fuel rails and injectors. I'm willing to give that a try.

Sorry what I meant was you should look at mini ram builds to see how much power they can support as the LT1 intake is a very good setup. I got about half way through and decided to use the L98 intake myself, that being said I got mine for about $75 shipped one bay complete from injectors to rails to throttle body so keep your eyes out. It was a bargian admittedly. If I was going all motor I would definitely do the LT1 intake with no hesitation.
