Not "just" a '40 ford Coupe, but a DELUXE Coupe with TWO tailights!! The Standard Coupes had one tailight on the left side...(Gotta be real old to know that)

Hey I knew that, but then I knew someone with a standard that got to explain that it came stock that way quite often to unknowledgeable law enforcement.
"Yes officer, I know the car only has one taillight, it came from the factory that way. Here's some copies of the original ads, owners manual, and the local laws that state I don't have to change it."

The old pickups were the same way up into the mid-50's models!
You're correct about the young cops not knowing this...my buddy is a retired Police Commander and he explained it to more than one overzealous rookie! LOL! Comes with the territory.

astronut74 is the "WINNER". The 280Z was my first choice but Cherie talked me out of it. Larry, I expected you to get it. We can remember when they were new.

That was a tough one! For me anyways... I rarely see any classic cars, much less know the names or years! Thanks to "google images" for that one. I was searching a good bit of the night when I found this:
http://jalopnik.com/cars/down-on-the-st ... 290032.php and thought I'd guess.
Hmm.. so tag I'm it huh? Gimme a little bit, I'll find something...
