Hey all!
Bought my first astro last Saturday, down in Tulsa, OK. 1997 model with 111,500 miles on it. Had to replace the idler arms on it, to get it to pass MO inspection, but so far I have been able to get almost 20mpg out of it.
Body has a few minor dents, and one small dent in the drivers side rear corner, under the taillight. Paint has a lot of parking lot scratches, and looks like their small kid is an aspiring artist, as there are scratches that were attempted to be covered up with one of those crappy little touch up brushes (like the nail polish stuff)
and with my "photoshop drop" that should become a reality this fall.

Johnny, your van sits GOOD. How much drop did you use, and what's your wheel/tire combo?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Nice van, welcome aboard!
'89 Astro, 4.3L, TBI. Minor intake and exhaust mods. Rebuilt 700R4 trans (by me). Corvette servo, 0.5" boost valve, police grade 1-2 accumulator spring (shifts fast and solid). B&M stacked plate trans cooler. Bilstein shocks. Belltech sway bars front and back. New head unit, speakers and subwoofer. Needs paint and a new headliner.

I wound up selling my Astro around June, 2011, in favor of a 1937 Ford 2 door sedan, as my daily driver. Drove the sedan for 9 months, sold it and bought a F150 that I drove for the past year and sold last week.
I have a deal negotiated on a 2000 Astro, with 83,000 miles on it! The current owner inherited it from their grandfather and it is pristine. Just waiting on the DMV to return the new title, so we can process the paperwork and exchange fundage.
Too bad I sold my dropped spindles that I never used!
