I know it's a little early but...

With the time change, it's got me looking forward to Christmas.

I'm looking to get together a list of "must have" chirstmas movies and shows to add to my collection. Working 2nd shift, I rarely get to see many christmas shows anymore, add to the fact that I don't have cable, and that number is even smaller. So here's my list so far:
The original Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer
The original Frosty the Snowman
Miracle on 34th street
Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas
The Polar Express
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey version)
As you can see, my collection is rather small, I know I want to get "A Christmas Carol" but I'd like the old one in black and white -- just not sure who's in it or when it was made..
So what else would you add to this list?

We catch some of the movies you mentioned as they appear on TV during the holidays.

The only one we sit down and watch EVERY year is Christmas Vacation. It does a pretty good job of portraying an (exaggerated) Mead Christmas.

National lampoons Christmas Vacation? Wow, I haven't seen that since right around when it came out.

Did the chipmunks have a christmas show? I knew they had the christmas songs, I didn't know there was a show..

Don't forget Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart.

A must for me is "A Christmas Story". Been watching it since 1983. A classic in my eyes. Ralphie and his Red Ryder BB gun with a compass in the stock!

Ah yeah, the one with the leg lamp! Yeah, I've got to get that one for sure.

Same here, never been able to sit through A Christmas Story either. But don't get me wrong, Christmas is one of my favorite holiday seasons. I get to play Santa again, I have a 2 year old grandbaby. At the rate I'm going gray, I won't need the fake beard much longer. :D
