I hadn't seen that commercial before, but remember seeing another "van" commercial from Honda.

You know what, you just have to let it go....

Just appreciate the fact they are giving credit to vans in the first place!

I had a 78 Chev Van with the 400 V8 and wanted to paint it like the A-Team van - that commercial just brought back memories.... man did that thing move when I wanted it to. Long live the van - I just prefer my "Man Van" to the minivan's of today - especially now that gas is back to a reasonable level.

Respect the van is right, true vans, not car based, oversized, station wagons.

Phtttt.... to Honda.

I have no experience with the Honda, but we recently bought my wife a used Mazda mini-van....

And I like it!

Quick, sporty-ish, and comfortable. Seating for seven with quad buckets.

It can't haul a load like our Safari, or a big trailer, but that doesn't make it a bad vehicle.

I appreciate that I'm not alone. I'll pass on the peter therapy session that may only make matters worse  LOL

I dunno.. I am not diss'ing the 'new' mini fwd vans, they suit their need. they sell a ton, especially the dodge versions. they have really come up with some great innovations like the seats that fold into the floor and built in dvd screens as well as many others. I just don't think that comparing them to the rwd classics is right [-(

bring back the astro/safari's rwd and awd and throw in some of those new innovations!! (talking to a wall)

I have to laugh at that commercial. Comparing the oldschool vans to the honda is like apples and oranges. When I look at the honda, and so many other minivans in recent years, I think a more accurate comparison would be the station wagon. My sister has that same honda minivan, and sure it's got alot of bells and whistles, but it feels like a car. Same goes for her last minivan, the windstar.

Hey, your loss! [-(

I didn't have an issue with it, to be honest. It is true though, that I'm often being insulted without even realizing it. What is it exactly about the ad you find annoying, may I ask?

I can appreciate "respect the vans",But you & I both know Honda does
not really give a fu_ _.They are using that term for sales purposes only.
I also find it amusing how Honda has to use other manufactured vans to
promote their own.Do ya think your ever going to see Mr T in a Honda???
Do ya think your gonna see Bo & Luke being chased by a Honda???.
Do ya think your gonna see a bunch of hippies getting stoned in a Honda???
(well maybe). There's nothing "tough" about a Honda & you know you'll never see one on screen.Only thing a Honda has going for it is fuel mileage.
Did I mention how many Honda Odysee's were stuck in the snow??? :swords:
Sensitive,no not really, just sensitive to others stupidity.
