Chevy & GMC Vans

I was woken up this morning @ around 2:30, didn't know why. I heard my water softner going through it's cleaning cycle so I figured that was it. Then I hear another noise, at first like a motor of some sort, now I'm thinkning the furnace motor is going out. Then I hear tires squealing, but it keeps going. Motor revving, tires squalling for a good 5 mins. I look at my window and I see the brake lights on my neighrbor's Astro van, only had it about a month, nice late model too. Thsi goes on for almost 10 mins, I almost called 911. Then I hear two "booms" back to back, look out, no more brake lights, no motor revving, but from a security light, I see smoke everywhere. I go by this morning, his driveway is covered with black, almost looks like a mud hole and van is basically sitting on the rear bumper, both rear tires blown out.

What in the world make people do stuff like this? He has got to be one of the strangest neighbors I've ever had, wife and kids ae the same too. He normally waits until dark during the summers before he cuts grass so we get to hear that @ 10-11 pm during the summer.

Anyone else got goofy neighbors...or are you that one????!!!

Ya, me too. My neighbor would mow his yard just before sunrise. They've complained about my kids making to much noise during the day but they would have screaming, cussing matches at 1am. The list goes on. Oh, and she's a teacher for the public schools. #-o

My neighbors are all fairly normal. Though my in-laws have a neighbor where the whole family can be described as being a little special. The mother was telling, OK yelling, off the father one day while we were having a barbeque. They were in their house and she was on a cuss laden tirade that we could clearly hear next door. We all looked at each other as it was preventing us from enjoying ourselves, plus my daughter (10 at the time) was there. After five minutes, I had enough walked over to their house and said through an open window, "The whole neighborhood can hear you, you want to knock it off before I call the police." Confused the crap out of her, but then started yelling at him about what I did. Well that was it, I called the police. 15 minutes later when the police arrived things quieted down rather quickly.

My in-laws said it was fairly common to hear them, but ever since that day they have been much better.

PSYCHO NEIGHBOURS!!!!!!.........Thaaat, would depend on whooo, you talk toooo.

Our next door neighbors.... Husband, wife and 15 yr old son. All nice to me, but... The husband loses his temper easily and cusses out his son and his wife. Fairly frequently. He once unloaded on my wife due to our irrigation water running down on his property when I was out of town. (He did apologize later, but my wife will never forgive him.) He is fueding with our neighbors who live behind us and they actually called the cops on him a couple of times.

We keep a close eye on them.... And hope he doesn't hurt anyone. [-o<

i only have 1 neighbour and there good ppl,they let my just there JD riding mower in the summer,i have a corner lot and the house across the alley is habited by stray cats ,otherwise vacant

Thi sgu is a pretty nice guy, just his elevator doesn't always reach the top floor. I saw his wife out htis moring survey inghte damage and another car there when we came home from church. I think he deals with anger management or lack of.
I had a neighbor behind me about 8 yrs ago lose it too. A 10 yr old boy came running out ofhte back of hte house, dad hot on hie tail. He picks up one of the "bug" type toddler push cars and throws it at the kid, good thing he could run. I think that wa due to a major alcohol/pot addiction.
I would rather not bring up neighbors at our old house..... came home to a small calf in the front yard, couch on the front porch, chickens in the back yard...all this in a 35 x 125 plot in the middle of the city. We only took that for 3 yrs!

I have some Aisan neighbours, each side of me, and we have a blast together....

But they BarbyQ some strange and smelly meat sometimes.....And it tastes absolutely Awesome..!

Yes SoCalli, I would rather talk about my nicer neighbours as well, cause I have some kick ass neighbours out my way.
There is only one that causes problems, but he causes problems everywhere. He's just a jerk.
I have a few neighbours who have summer get aways out here.
Some are well know people and they come here to party. They hire live bands, some even supply food and booze and all the locals are welcome. As locals we are asked to keep the profile low and we do because none of us want the extra attention either.

I think I'm probably the weird neighbor in my neighborhood. Altho I do have one next door who lets their dog run loose and there is no fence between our yards it keeps trying to get into fights with my dog.

I've heard the neighbor across the street go on a tirade once. Otherwise Everyone here keeps to them selves to the point that I rarely see them outside at all. I'm definitely the odd one. The neighborhood is all new semis and very tight. Single car driveways. I've got a 76 continental parked on the lawn..... My neighbors give me some weird looks when I'm out in my driveway air tools going under my van on stands. I'm in and out all hours of the day and night. Me and my friends race RC Trucks up and down the street during the summer. Also fly RC helicopters and planes up and down the street and my front yard. Yup I'm the odd one out for sure.

I second that... but have to say all my neighbors are wierd in there own right... hermit on one side with a family of yellers next to him... and 18 apartments on the otherside watching my every move

Wierd is OK.... I guess that I am a wierd neighbour to live next to also.... with loud rock music cranked all day and blastin` around my block late at night in my sandrail, or on my quad....

Untill the cops show up.... searchin` for the excess noise 911 call ......?

i am the weird neighbor...back when i had my hearse, i'd be working on it and would have to move the casket out to do something...once a friend asked me to help them move, and i told them they'd have to help me move the casket out so we could use the hearse, it happened to be 11pm so there we were wrestling a coffin into the house, couldn't help but laugh at what any of the neighbors thought seeing that...i keep to myself usually, almost always in black, sometimes i crank some tunes a little louder than i should...but i keep the place neat and to know me is to love me that's more than can be said about a lot of neighbors around here...
