yeah, I saw that last week, right after I had told my son we were going to the monster truck show here in Orlando.
All week long I had that on my mind, couldn't even imagine the pain his family is going thru.
Just saw the Orlando show last night -- no problems like that that I know of, but I was ready to cover my son if I saw any debris flying our way.

Wow, what a tragedy. Sorry for the surviving family members.
Not that it lessens the hurt at all, but it was a "freak accident", and accidents most certainly happen. Wether at a truck show, a hockey game, a golf course, a pond, a classroom, an office building, or a bus stop, or a jobsite, they happen. Live life to the fullest, and let you loved ones know hpw much you care, because you never know.

This latest death though is a bit more disturbing. I saw the video this morning and the guy just walks right under the oncoming monster truck tire. Either he was completely clueless... and wouldn't you be looking around if you were walking on the arena floor with moving monster trucks?... or the guy was looking to leave this world.
Sad regardless.

That sounds horrilbe.
When i lived in Tucson in the mid eighties I went to a Copper Mine Open House. One of the old timers that everybody loved pulled up in his old 1/2 company truck that barely ran, and stopped right behind an idleing 60 ton dump truck with the 6ft tall tires or whatever they are. Everyone crowded around him for a moment to say hello, then the boss pulled up 75 ft away in a brand new pickup, and the crowd left the old timer to go talk to the boss. A minute later, the dumper truck backed over the old timers truck and literally crushed it. People's first reaction was that the old timer was still in the pickup. He wasn't, he snuck out the passenger side when every looked the other way at the boss's new truck. It was staged to illustrate first hand how quickly and easily people can die out at the mines. It definitely got my attention.
You've got to pay attention all the time...and be a little lucky too. Even then your number just might come up.
