Had my 40th last Weds......woke up and blew my nose, started bleeding, went to work, got notice I will be getting a 6 week "vacation" starting March 16 ](*,) ( stupid economy), then had to go to a 36 yr old neighbor's funeral that night. Got an Arbys roast beef sandiwch for my bday dinner, and fell asleep @ 8:30. Didn't even get a "special present' from the wife
Guess I can start midlife crisis now.....about ready to start drinking, go buy expensive sports car, and get a girlfirend. #-o [-X Good thing we got some $$$$ put back and I got a job to go back to.

Don't listen to the lyin' SOB's, it only goes downhill after 40.
Yeah sure, you'll start working again soon enuf. Don't worry about that. But everything else?
- Your body will start showing the effects of fried'n fatty foods quicker and quicker.
- You'll find yourself repeating stories you've already told before....and more than once.
- You'll notice that you nod off in front of the tv with incredible regularity
- Flatulence will become the norm rather than the exception.
- Waking up AT LEAST ONCE, prolly twice during the night to go pee will be the norm.
- Your memory (or lack thereof) will start to become an increased embarrassment to you
- Eating an all-dressed pizza with anchovies just before bedtime will no longer be tolerated by your digestive system
- Sex. You don't even wanna know how bad your performance will suffer......
It won't all go to hell in a handbasket right away. The changes will be subtle and occur over the next few years, but they will happen.
Glad I could be of help. Might as well off yourself and save yourself the grief ](*,)

Re: That's was a great birthday
happy birthday Blazer, nonetheless.
skip the drinking and the girlfriend, both are expensive and hard to get rid of. The sports car, might have something there.
your still on the right side of the grass.
don't listen to peter, apparantly he's let himself go...probably doesn't look so cute in that dress anymore

Re: That's was a great birthday
I'd totally disagree with 'can't get any worse'. What if you didn't wake up last Wed? kings has it right.
Regardless, how ever bad things get, they can always be worse. It's about looking at the positives.
there's a retired gentleman that comes in the store a couple times a week. every day i ask him, "how are you today Don?" .... his response; "GREAT!.. I woke up this morning, BONUS ROUND!!"
he looks at every day as the 'bonus round' ... wish I could be as positive as he his, I tend to dwell on the negatives occasionly, I try not to bask in that crap too long. hopefully, as I get older I'll learn how to get right on to the positive things....
