I dont have much for pics, here is a shot from last week, a whole row of vehicles with no motors undergoing some sort of heart transplant
and one big bay for the bread and butter work that pays the bills..

I wish I could get into mine at this point. Between all my contracting tools and one torn down 'Comcastic Van' ,...I don't have room to sneeze

I too have been thinking hard on building a shop. I have drawn up some plans but I'm not sure I will be able to afford to build the one on paper as it has everything you can think of in it. I will build it myself which allows more money to be placed in square footage. In the plans are:
- sandblasting booth, used also for sanding and other dirty work
- Paint booth, used also for pressure washing (with drain)
- Exhaust for vehicle, paint/sandblast booths
- two garage bays for car storage
- second story loft for storage
If I do start this shop, the "tran" will suffer...

Here is some pics of where the damage gets done!
Up top you can see the 40ft by 20ft loft me and a friend put up.. eventually there will be a wall up there soi you cannot see up there.
This is the bar area at the front of the shop.. still a work in progress....

nice shops for sure. Like that Volvo sitting outside. Looked for one of those high and low years ago to V-8.

those are some really nice shops!! unfortunately i won't have room for anything that big...but i can imagine some of the projects i could do with all that room!!
I have drawn up some plans but I'm not sure I will be able to afford to build the one on paper as it has everything you can think of in it.
that's what i've been running into...so i've been scaling back and reassessing what i can live without...would love to have the room and money to go wild though...my dream shop would include: central air and heated concrete, 4 or 5 bays, one with beams and cranes on the front and rear of the bay for lifting bodies off the frames, drive on lift sunken down flush with the floor for lowrider clearance, loft for storage and small "storefront" on the end that looks like a country store with old glass top gas pumps to provide backgrounds for hot rod pictures, and so the shop doesn't look too obtrusive...

Bills "shop" just goes to show that it does not really matter where you work.. he has done some major work on them there rocks!
Rebel, youre in luck!! Your search is over!
1965 Volvo 544
302 V8, Mustang Rack and pinion, 9" rear, Toyota Avalon seats, much much more..
...can be yours!!!
We thought it would be a good v8 car too, but then the economy laughed it off..
Darren, you know, if you cleaned that out you could probably finish your van... why dont you go ahead and ship those skis and that buggy over here to florida for safe keeping!!

Here's my shop in Florence. A 3 car garage. Was just about finished with it when it was time to sell house and move south. This one was cool,,frig. and built in bar mounted on the wall which was a headboard for a waterbed in it's previous life.

Two huge storage rooms at the very back of garage. One I kept the comp. in.

This is all I'll show ya at the new house at the 96. To big a mess left over from the move but have hopes of making it into a MAN room this summer. Lots more room than north Alabama but lots of clean up and throwing away things before clean up and organize. This is on the lower back side of house going into the basement,,the two car garage is ground level at the other end of house.

Just remember one thing,,build it as large as you're able to do, even then,,you'll wonder where all the space went.

my shop is the driveway. I do have a 2 car garage that has never had a car in it.
it's a disaster right now. I can barely walk through it. it's full of all my good junk.
A while back I put up a 8' x 8' tin barn in the backyard to put the yard tools in so we could get to them.
