Thanks for getting those to post...........
I am not too good with the posting thing..... :-k
I had to have the heads reworked and new valves put in them...
it's got 147,000 miles and runs great now.
Got some plans for it...........mostly cosmetic...rims, lights, and so on.

man, i wish i could find a deal like that, my old dented 99 needs a donor body, but that ones almost worthy of driving as is, i just like my 3:73 G80 rear, and know everything about it, it scares me to try to find a new one even if it has less miles than mine.

Thanks guys.....I thought it was a good deal.
I did have to do some work to it before I got to drive it...
but that is the fun in all of it...........makes it more worthwhile..

Curious, why did the heads/valves need attention? What was it doing or not doing? I ask because that's about the same mileage I have on my '98.

The intake valves were cupped,or as my machine shop guy said, sucked back up into the head.
Something that he said the 4.3 has had a history of. Caused by a backfire of some sort.
I had a really bad miss and ran bad to say the least.Shook misserably with no power and had a bad rich smell to it. It runs great now. I have had it running for a week now and no problems,so far.

Yes Crash....they do use lots of salt on the roads here in the winter..............I hate it.
I am gonna have to replace the rockers in my 89 this summer....one of the reasons I bought the 95.
the 89 is gonna get a complete redo of the body.Everything taken off, glass, subframe, motor, trans, and wiring.
Strip it all down with my soda blaster and replace all the bad panels even underneath. Then a complete color change from the factory blue to a bright red of undecided origin.......as you can see I have alot on my plate to get done this summer.... #-o
The rim in my avatar is a pic of the set I have here to go on the 95 as soon as I get new tires for them.
Going with a 255-45-18 to stay the same diamater as the fatory size tires.
