Im not sure if this is the spot to post this but...........


My father has an 2005 Suburban 1500 long wheelbase with "offroad" package (Z71?)

He is looking to do some type of brake upgrade. With my limited GM truck knowledge I know that you can bolt on older 3/4 ton brake parts to older 1/4 and 1/2 ton trucks (or in our case vans).

Does anyone know of a bolt on brake upgrade for his Suburban. Can you buy 2500 Suburban brakes, and use them?

Please note: I know he can buy good aftermarket stock sized rotors and pads. I just thinking
something bigger.

Does he have drums on the rear? if so what size? maybe he could do the 11inch drum upgrade?

Does he have Hydro-boost? he may like that upgrade.

Did they make SuperSport pickups in `05? he could check-out their brake system and compare rotors, calipers etc.... there maybe an upgrade fitting SS parts.
