that's not what they're for.
(update 5 minutes ago)
I'm sitting here in Kabey's Van, waiting for noon so as I can move into my new house.
Just killing time on the net when this woman in a "ford" comes wheeling into the parking spot beside me and smashes into my van destroying the right front fender.
"Oh, sorry I thought I was going to miss your van".
"So what you just keep driving until you hit something"?
WTF
She did give me $500 dollars to avoid a claim on her insurance.
Kind of makes you wonder about how many other poor sods she's hit.
Anyway, I'm back on my Island cause Vancouver sucks.
Cheers,
Peter & Kabey

Go to your insurance agent and make the claim. You DID get her license number, didn't you?

I would have made a claim. There could be more damage underneath that will prevent you from simply hanging a new fender. I hope you got her contact info incase it is more money.
Good luck.

Finally, Shaw showed up and I have internet now.
I did take a close look, and the damage is containd to the fender. All the panels are still lined up. I am not going to make a claim as my plan is to put a newer front clip on and the $500 dollars will almost pay for a new front clip.
Lemons too lemon-aid.

Hi Kib! Glad to hear there was no more damage.
I sent an email to ICBC about my damages yesterday ... within 3 hours I had a call back saying to go to shop and they will take care of me
Wish I knew you were here - would have liked to say hi in person! Still have not met you!

Hey Abe,
Sorry I missed you too. I was on the mainland for about 5 months living in White Rock and I did a lot of work in Richmond which is where you live if my memory is correct.
Met Reaper while I was there, he's a pretty cool dude, any body who likes fast boats is good in my books.
Almost made it out to a drive-in meet but not quite.
I'm back on the Island now and loving it. Even though I was born in Vancouver I really can't stand the place, way to much traffic and far too many people. The place has really changed since I last lived there some twenty odd years ago.
I have found a '98 front clip for my van for $200 so as soon as I get a chance I am going to go and pick it up.
Cheers,
Peter
