Lifting and doing SAS and engine swaps on family style vehicles....what are they thinking???

Seems kind of familiar, eh?

I did some reading and they seem to have the same kind of rare comradery present on this board. Pretty cool ,huh?

YUP..........wacky as us. Good find, Roy. I just looked at the site. That full frame job is awesome.

Now you did it! I'm going to have to spend some time reading that site now. I see an AMC Eagle running around here sometimes and always thought it might be cool to own one....

Dad used to have one. It would be quite fun to take one with the full time AWD and make it into a street beast ala Syclone/Typhoon. Stuff an AMC V8 in it maybe some boost or nitrous. Heck T-350/350 would be fun enough and cheaper probably.

My Dad bought one of these new. I was just a kid,but do remember liking that car. I'll have to ask him why he got rid of it.Seems he only had it a couple years,but I could be wrong.

pretty cool...kindred spirits.
'89 Astro, 4.3L, TBI. Minor intake and exhaust mods. Rebuilt 700R4 trans (by me). Corvette servo, 0.5" boost valve, police grade 1-2 accumulator spring (shifts fast and solid). B&M stacked plate trans cooler. Bilstein shocks. Belltech sway bars front and back. New head unit, speakers and subwoofer. Needs paint and a new headliner.
