This weekend is the 12th annual, Deuses at the Legislature. Their are over 900 entrants with cars ranging in years from 1916-1952 most of which are deuce coupes.
I have been able to see some of them go by while at work, as they get off of the BC Ferries and headed into town. It's been quite a parade for the last couple of days.
Vic Edelbrock will be there with some of his Deuces, some are from the UK, Australia, New Zealand and many from the US.
A group of them from San Francisco leased the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles and made the trip to Victoria. 90 Deuces got off that ferry in Victoria harbour yesterday. Must have been quite a site to see.
I have some pictures of them as they drove past the jobsite everytime a ferry came in. Pretty cool to see and hear a dozen or so blown big block Deuces go by.
I'll go through all my pictures and post some after the big show Sunday. Stay tuned.

Peter

Yep,,can't wait to see the pics. This is all new to me but I've always thought there was only one Deuce Coupe, deuce being the 2 in 1932 Ford.
One of the most famous here in the US is the deuce from the movie American Graffiti by George Lucas. Notice the front tag which was the name of his first movie.

That is correct Larry.
The Deuce Coupe is called that because of the "2" in 1932. It was also the first V8 production car Ford ever built and was only built for 9 months.
It is the most copied body style for after market hotrods, ever.
Driving around town yesterday was pretty cool. Their were cars of all shapes and sizes, everywhere.
It seemed that if you could get it running it was out on the road yesterday. I saw a 1962 Ford Falcon Ranchero yesterday, all original still with it dogdish hubcaps.
Langford, (a bedroom community to Victoria) held a parade for the Deuces yesterday. I couldn't make it but I hear it was quite a sight seeing all the rods cruizing through D/T Langford.

Isn't there a bulk image resizer in photobucket. I seem to remember you could resize an entire album. I can do it one at a time but that's going to take a while.

when you use the bulk up-loader it asks image size i tend to use that or picresizer (i think that's the program...)
