Its just So Easy!
1 bolt under the hood separates the column from the shaft.
4 (or so) small screws hold the plate against the floor.
2 bolts hold the column up under the dash by your knees, let it drop.
Unplug the wire plugs on the column.
Pull.....
If the new column has more options than the original, no biggie, they just probably wont work if you didnt have already.
Eg: If New column has cruise control but your van never did, it isnt going to magically Start to work, but it wont hurt anything.
However, you want to be sure your new column has the options your van did, or the CC you used to have wont work with a column that has no CC controls on the turn signal stick. I guess you could swap the turn signal stick too though.
Tilt or no tilt, either can replace the other.

Hey all!
I know its an old thread but I was wondering if the 96 column was the same as the column change in this thread.
I have to go pull one today and want to be sure of what I am after.
Is my 96 a mechanical linkage or a cable?
Found it.
